In this fast-paced, everchanging world many children are in families where both parents must work, where there may be only a single parent, or where the support and the companionship they need may be limited or missing. As a result, it is not uncommon for young people to become bored or feel separated from their community.

The Pemi Youth Center began as a vision to address this: to provide a safe and caring place to go after school, on weekends, and during school vacations; to provide programming which will enable them to develop their abilities, talents and interests; and to make them feel that they are a valued member of their community.

We Believe:
Our youth can contribute to their community through the development of their diverse skills, talents, and capabilities.

Our Mission:
Our Mission is to provide a safe and welcoming environment where our youth may gather outside of school and gain a sense of community, belonging and self-esteem.

We are dedicated to engaging our youth through:
  • Adult and Peer Mentoring
  • Creative Arts Initiatives
  • Social and Recreational Interaction
  • Opportunities for Community Service
